Cole Porter’s rarely seen work gets the Ian Marshall Fisher ‘Lost Musicals’ once over in this revival of the 1939 musical comedy. Louise Gold heads the cast as singer May Daly who becomes DuBarry when the nightclub toilet cleaner passes out and wakes up in the Court of Louis XV of France. The show, which includes the songs Friendship and Well, Did You Evah? (a song later revamped for the film High Society), will also be broadcast on BBC Radio 3 in the New Year. The Lost Musicals, of which there have been some 48 different shows reconstructed, was seen by New York audiences for the first time this year in the shape of Porter’s Let’s Face It.

Cast Includes: Louise Gold, Desmond Barrit, Stewart Permutt, Gavin Lee, Jeremy David, James Vaughan, Shula Keyte, Lauren Ward, Hannah Berry, Jenna Sokolowski, Gabriella Santinelli, Mark McKerracher, Tanya Robb, Mark Siney, Chris Vincent, Stephen Lloyd Morgan
