Blue Man Group is interactive performance art in which three blue
performers, accompanied by a rock band, make music on steel drums and PVC
pipes, splash paint, explore chaos theory and share banquets of Twinkies.
Blue Man Group's one-of-a-kind performance art play Tubes has been
a hit in New York for nearly a decade. Time magazine says "Tubes
is a potpourri of physical stunts, visual gags, art commentary, audience
participation and all-out sensory assault." Tubes first
appeared at La MaMa in January of 1991, where it won an Obie Award, and
was also part of the Lincoln Center SERIOUS FUN! Festival.
